Promotions (Campaigns)

One of advanced areas of WebBookingPro is area of Promotions & Discounts.

Choose “Promotions & Discounts” from the left menu to create a new one or edit existing promotion.

Tip: We always suggest creating a promotion for e.g. Long Stay (3+ nights) – better option than creating separate discounted rate. With promotion guest will always see regular price (strikethrough), new price and discount in percent.

Promotion or Campaign can be:

  • Standard – always available – e.g. 15% discount for specific period
  • Long -stay – e.g. 15% discount for stay from 3 or more nights
  • Gratis Days – e.g. 5=6 or 7=9
  • First minute – e.g. 15% discount for reservation at least xx days before arrival (release period)
  • Last minute – e.g. 15% discount for reservation at most xx days before arrival
  • Non refundable campaign – e.g. 15% discount for non-refundable reservation at most xx days before arrival (release period). Some hotels use Nonrefundable as custom Rate Plan (also good option) but some properties use Capaign on specific rates.

All campaigns can have:

  • Booking window period – start and end dates when campaign is active for searching
  • Stay window period – for which stay days campaign is active (e.g. only for some days in the future)
  • Specific days in week it will be applied

All campaigns can have “Minimum nights” trigger set up. If it is 0, it means no minimum nights is required.

Most important feature of WebBookingPro is to enable/disable promotion based on Number of Available (FREE) rooms for some day. With parameter “Minimum available rooms” – system will enable campaign only if number of available room is equal or higher of this number. By this feature you can yield your Last minute or First minute discount to e.g. show on days with low occupancy rate.

Every campaign has some trigger days – for last minute or standard it means up to X days before arrival, for first minute at least X days before arrival.

Every campaign can be on all or specific room types.

Every campaign can be visible on specific rate plans or all rate plans except specific rate plans.

Discount can be applied to ALL days or after 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 days.

With Gratis day campaigns you can set up which days are gratis (first, last or those with lowest price).

All changes to Promotions & Discounts are immediately visible on Booking Engine and sent to Metasearch (e.g. Google).

You you create same Standard, Last minute, First minute and Long Stay campaigns for Booking.com and Expedia at the same time. You click “Active” under Booking.com or Expedia. Expedia has some different campaign properties you can set up through interface.

For other channels this is not supported. 

Using UpSell

If you have long-stay campaigns we suggest using “UpSell” functionality to offer guest option (if available) to stay longer and get get some discount. For example you have Long-stay promotion for minimum 4 nights. If guest is looking for 1, 2 or 3 nights and there is availability to stay 4 nigths, system will offer to the guest two optoins: 1st what he wants, 2nd option to stay 4 nights.

To enable UpSell just click on checkbox!
